Tamás Visi
Assistant Professor at the Kurt and Ursula Schubert Centre for Jewish Studies.
He studied philosophy and Hebrew Studies at the Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest and medieval studies at the Central European University, Budapest. He earned his doctorate with a dissertation on the early Ibn Ezra supercommentaries at the Central European University in Budapest, defended his doctoral dissertation at the Central European University, Budapest in 2006. Since September, 2006, he has been an Assistant Professor at the Kurt and Ursula Schubert Centre for Jewish Studies at Palacky University (Olomouc, Czech Republic).
Main interests: Moravian Jewish history, (especially rabbinic literature and other Hebrew sources), medieval Jewish philosophy and intellectual history.
