Opening of the Books within Books database
The Books within Books database of the fragments of Medieval Hebrew manuscripts from European libraries, archives and collections is now open. You can have access to some 1500 items containing images and catalog descriptions of the fragments found in collections of France, Italy, Switzerland, Poland and Czech Republic. New entries will be added daily to the database.

Database can be searched through the list of collections in each country and the shelf marks of the manuscripts as well as through a keyword search. The catalog descriptions provide essential information on codicological as well as paleographical features of the fragments, together with the description of their texts, history of research as well as of the host volumes in which fragments have been preserved.
